London was awesome. I think what made it so special was the fact that we were staying with some friends we met on a cruise 2 years ago. They gave us the most awesome (exhausting) day tour of the city. I think we saw just about everything! Also, the whole day in London, I had the London Calling song stuck in my head (thanks Hollywood!)

We took the train in to St James’ Park and then our first stop was a visit to Buckingham Palace, and saw a changing of the guard rehersal for the something that’s going on next weekend for the queen! We even got to see her carriage! The classic guards in red was pretty cool to see as well. From there, we walked over to Big Ben and the house of Parliament. We also saw Westminster abbey and Westminster Bridge. We walked along South Bank past the aquarium and to the London eye. Then we walked up past Charing Cross Station and Trafalgar square. We stopped at a cute Mexican place called Wahaca for lunch. Then we went to Covent Garden and Leicester Square. We also had a ride on the Underground tube which was awesome. We stopped at St Pauls Cathedral, the Bank of England monument and finished up at The London Bridge (which was pretty surreal given recent events)

The craziest part of our day, was that the sun was out the whole day. We all got sunburnt! Who would’ve thought!
